Just Finished! Altered Photo Frame

I've been gone from scrapping for a while. I was out of state on a contract job that kept me crazy busy for 6 months, then in California visiting my family for 3 months, and finally relocated to Ft. Drum where the Army has stationed my husband. I'm what they call an "insider" I don't do snow so I'll be inside this winter. You can take the girl out of California but.......... it doesn't mean she'll like it LOL

Anyway, I finally got back to creating. I just completed an altered picture frame for a photo of my sisters and I. This is my first altered art project.

I started with a plain wooden frame and the word "sisters" in plain wood as well. Above are photos after applying Liquitex Gesso to both. The frame also has stenciling using Prima Sunrise Sunset stencil with Creative Imaginations Modeling cream in pearl.

After this step I cut up a doily and adhered to the frame with Mod Podge. I then painted the frame and the word "sisters" with Luminart Silks Acrylic Glazes in Pomegranate, Fire Opal and Sunflower.
I also applied several Prima and other flowers and some metal embellishments. There is also a sticker at the top that says "Rue Bourbon" which is where the photo was taken.
